Probably doesn't take too much to stand out in the Swiss league, but at the same time 5 million is nothing in today's market and a risk well worth taking for his potential.
If he doesn't work out, it's unlikely we'd lose a penny on him.

He’s a very young player. To play good in Sion it’s not easy as it’s a very bad club (owner) I don’t know how good he will be in future but his cousin is playing very well

Yeah, and exactly which of those would you want in an attacking central midfield position to link the play like Lanzini does? That list is pretty much all wingers or defensive midfielders.
Like I said before it's the Ayew and Tore signings which didn't make sense in building a balanced squad, not this guy.
